With regard to tha charges against Luton Iwonder who the six agents also charged are.Mike Newell previously revealed a name which would seriously interest us.

Without a recognisable central midfielder who can either get a tackle in or be box-to-box, we are going to struggle, even against a team with such a poor away record as Luton. 0-2 defeat.

With te squad they have got, they have to hit some form at some time.

The transfer scandle might just bond them together as well.

1-1 for me. Mooney grabbing us a late point

Just depends on whether we can get the ball on the floor and keep pinging it around, then we have a real chance, especially if we can tire them outchasing shadows, its when we don't have the ball we are going to struggle, so a lot is going to come down to how our back 4 play, and how they distribute the ball and from there how well we keep possesion. Not going to be so bold as to venture a guess on score though.

I cringed on the O/S when I read that Money expects Luton to be in the promotion race ASWELL. Does he realise that only 3 teams can gain promotion? Not a dig at him as such but every week he claims the team we are playing will be "there or thereabouts"

I am normally very positive as well as being realist.

I understand we won't spend £250k on a new player

I understand we can't afford to have a squad with an abundance of experienced centre midfielders

I understand we won't have 11,000 sell out this season (bar a visit from WBA, Wolves or a top premier team)

My positive feelings tell me we may get into the play offs,

Here's the BUT;

One of our poorest performers in the last few games, who does not appear to relish the fight, is now moving centre midfield.

Fingers crossed, I hope he comes up trumps but I think a draw will be an escape

New signing when internationals return will hopefully give us a lift for the visit of Leeds & Forest.

 Offer Here,

Absolutely no problems,

3 points all the way,

Forget their aspirations for this season and their pedigree, they are in the mire at the moment and we will beat these.

VERY, VERY CONFIDENT

 Offer

4-2 Walsall win, Ricketts hat trick, plus an own goal from Luton!!! The odds 1:1.

Luton should go down tonight, they got plenty of problems internally. A strong squad no doubt, but all in all, players worry more of their own back/paycheck than the squad itself.

For youngsters, that may not be the case, for veteran players, it's not a game no more, it's a job!!! Winning and losing means no difference when it's a job to get fit and to go out the field on all out weather condition.

Playing 90 minutes plus, running around, and goes home happily hugging his gf/wife/kids/etc. From their scenario, they just don't get hurt, play safe and get high pay!!!

They all know they won't be picked for England team, they all know they won't head to Premiership with their current squad, it's too old, and it's better to stick around and get back in the norms, just don't moved another ladder up, otherwise, they can't compete and someone will lose their job!!!

Well, who is to win tonight, 75% we win. because we are at home, got a young squad, and our manager wants to move forward!!! Of course, with their experience, Luton will win some matchups, maybe ending in 4-9th position in the league by end of the season, but for their success rate, they are better to stick around for another season in League One!

It is faintly ridiculous. To be fair, in the case of Luton I expected them to be up there before the season started. It's not looking likely now though.

In the case of Luton, it is a fairly comical statement. Probably a pre match excuse, in case things go wrong, failing that blame the fans. Anyway my point. Over a quarter of the teams in the league will be either Promoted or in the play offs if my calculations are right. Another few places down will be fighting for play off places. So all in all any team we play in the top half he could say the same about. No one can take it seriously of course

Walsall 0-2 Luton

Although they aren't the best side away at the moment, they still have some good players, i'd imagine peschilido will be playing and he seems to have fun against us. We need another couple of centre mids, because i feel a true top 8 side especially away would demolish us at the moment.

5,109 557 from the town.

If the first half an hour is anything to go by, it's going to be along afternoon.

If we get anything out of this, I'll eat my pants.

half decent performance considering the players we were missing from midfield and players out of position. Luton hve some decent players, mcveigh looked dangerous at times. they seem to lack a cutting edge upfront.

Gerrard got sponsers motm but id have given it to Wrack, who i thought played well breaking up play, chasing back and breaking with the ball when he could.

id say if anyone deserved to win it was us, but a point was fair.

ince -nothing to do for most of game. still a bit hesitant at times.
fox - not upto his recent performances but was solid enough
weston - reasnobly solid defensively. fustrating going forward as he shows he can do it, but then next second he messes up.
dann - seemed bit off the pace, but played ok.
gerrard - played well.
demontagnac - in and out of teh game. should have scored when put clear by ricketts. solid defensively.
hall - was ok, nothing special though.
wrack -as above, my MOTM
sonko- looked too lightweight and couldnt live with the pace of play in centre. never gave up though.
Ricketts- showed glimpses but was in and out of the game. should have done better with chance in first half.
Mooney - did his usual harrying and linking up of play. should have scored after turning the centreback to go clear.

subs:
mcdermott -looks promising. think he needs to be given a chance in the middle (although maybe too lightweight?) as hes not quick enough to beat a man on the wing.
taundry - looked ok, didnt have much to do.

ps:the ref was absolutely diabolical, and his linesman wasnt far behind!
