Brighton And Hove Albion (A) League 1 Tuesday 6/11/07
Form Giude Brighton's last 6 league games.
Bournemouth -away - won 2-0
Bristol Rovers - home - drew 0-0
Port Vale - away - won 1-0
Leeds - home -lost 0-1
Hartlepool - away - won 2-1
Luton - home -won 3-1
A much tougher test than Cheltenham thats for sure . I'll be more than happy with a point from this , The Seagulls are now 7th in league 1 on 23 points.
Prediction 1-1 Ricketts to score,

Well I ordered mine on Tuesday and it got here on Thursday, so you should be fine Geordie.
At least someone I know is going - all of the usual suspects have cried off.

That's a worry. If it doesn't arrive there'll be another Mick Kearns match report!
A point would be nice - they've a bit more clarse than us, but it doesn't always work out that way. 0-1, I say.

This sounds a bit dodgy!
From the Brighton Argus:
"Watering the pitch helped two-goal Forster
By Brian Owen
Nicky Forster believes a half-time drenching of the Withdean pitch might have helped him get back on the scoresheet.
Now the Albion striker aims to make sure his goals start coming in a steady flow throughout the season, not the occasional short-lived deluge.
For the second time this season, the summer signing from Hull scored two in a few minutes at the east end of Withdean to ensure a home win. He did at against Southend, too, when Albion rescued a 3-2 success.
But those four strikes are all he has to his tally so far in a stop-start season hindered by injury and illness.
Hence the desire to open the floodgates, a bit like the groundstaff did at half-time Dean Wilkins revealed he asked groundsman Steve Winterburn to water the pitch heavily at the interval to give the surface extra zip.
Three hoses did the job throughout the break and Forster reckons that played its part in helping him reach Bas Savage's header and guide the Seagulls' second goal past Dean Brill.
Forster said: "In the first half the ball held up a few times and a couple of the lads got it stuck under their feet.
"With the water on it in the second half and the temperature dropping it was skidding around a little bit more.
"I thought Chris Perry was going to get a touch on it but it just skidded away from him and he slipped.
"I don't know if that had anything to do with it but they were watering it at half-time and they weren't watering it before the game, which was strange."
Wilkins was quick to stress he was in no way criticising Winterburn's work in preparing the surface.
The pristine Withdean pitch is unrecognisable from its poor state of a few years ago.
But changing conditions during the day meant the ball was holding up too much in the first 45 minutes.
Wilkins said: "Normally it is watered before the game but there was some moisture in it in the morning so we didn't think it would need it.
"Having watched the first half, I thought our play was quite slow and quite pedestrian at times.
"We sent the players back out early at half-time to try to get them used to the pitch for a few minutes.
"I think it made a little bit of a difference to our play in the second half."
I wonder if they watered the whole of the pitch, or just the half they were attacking???

I'll be there.
They've mostly been good at home (only Leeds and Carlisle have more home points I think) so it's going to be very tough. My head says a narrow win, with maybe an outside chance of a fighting draw, but the heart says that we've picked up some excellent points on the road so far this season and a win is there for the taking.

Well I got mine a week ago today, and I'm number 89 8)
I can't believe that we've only sold 33 tickets. There must be more people off this board going!! I know it's a long trip from Walsall on a Tuesday night, but it's not a bad trip down for anyone who works in and around London - and there's quite a few of us who do. I'd expect somewhere in low three figures tonight.
