The return of Michael Ricketts and Lee Hughes - both of whom played today.

Should be something for the Walsall crowd to get their teeth into, there!

I'm sure the F2G will recognize that Hughes has had a rough time over the past few years, and will go easy on him.

Yeah, right!

Form Guide Oldham's league results to date.

Swansea - home - won 2-1
Carlisle - away - lost 0-1
Bristol R- away -lost 0-1
Harlepool - away -lost 1-4
Southend -home -lost 0-1

3 points against a struggling team is a must , we also have a black country fun day to look forward to.

Walsall 2-0 Oldham. Butler , Sonko.

My mate, who is an Oldham season ticket holder, says they are dire this season and he can't understand why. He seems to think that they need a good win/performance to kick start their season.

Let's hope its not against us then.

Walsall 1 - 1 Oldham
Butler

but dont worry, these results will start to turn into a unbeaten run, especially when we beat hartlefool the weekend after at their place.

8 points from 4 i wouldn't complain!! :D

My only concern is when you look at the standard of their opposition for the games they have lost. With the exception of Bristol and Hartlepool who have started well anyway, they have played teams you would expect to be in the mix up at the top come the end of the season.

Still - no wins - no confidence - now is the time to play them I suppose.

I'll go for a 2-1 victory with Butler and Sonko to score for us, and Ricketts for them.

Big day out for me this one. Will be hosting some Oldham friends, who I'm sure will be gutted having suffered a 3-1 reverse with Mooney's hat-trick making Hughes' opener and the finger on lips celebration irrelevant.

Nice image. Will Hughes 'kiss the badge' after his goal too? I hope so. He does in my imagination anyway. :D

I picture him saluting the F2G Stand with the familiar hand-cupped-to-ear celebration in order to hear our non-existant boos. At this point a smiling Michael Ricketts will join jailbird Hughes as one fan is forcibly ejected for lobbing a coin at the odious pair.

Ricketts will later be substituted and walk straight down the tunnel after a volley of F words in the direction of John Sheridan, while the TXT Stand incumbents, already celebrating our win, wave him on his way.

Tremendous! Virtually pornographic in its ecstatic climax. I may have to have a little lie down. :D

But, like many fantasies, is that all it will ever be? :(

I think we will win 2-0 with Wrack & Butler getting the goals. I think with the win yesterday our season will finally start now.

I put us to loose against Milwall and we won :)

But this week i'm full of confidence that we will get our first home victory.

The same crowd for successive home games?

After our win at Millwall, can we keep the run going, or will Oldham do to us what we did to Millwall?

I think neither. A reasonably entertaining 1-1 draw, Wrack for us.

Crowd: 4,605.
