Carlisle (H) League 1- Saturday 11th August 2007
Well here we are, Aranalde’s coming to help Jimmy paint some more yellow lines and the opening day of the season is just around the corner, doesn't seem that long ago since we won the league at Swindon, time goes fast don't it?
I predict Dicky Dosh’s men to start with a 3-1 win, with Mooney, Butler and Dann scoring for us and Zigor Aranalde to score for Carlisle, they always seem to score against there former clubs! :lol:

There will be no shots, no pace, the new strips will be poor quality, the ball will be as light as a balloon, the ref will be picky, the players will be too old, the sun will be in my eyes, the queue for the refreshments will be long, and the refreshments will not be refreshing, the programme will be poor value for money (I don't know why I buy one I really don't), Bescot station will be shut, the journey home will be tortuous with blocked toilets, expensive buffet, and no windows to stick your head out of like when Ray Graydon was in charge.
Modern life is rubbish, and football is its barometer.
Unfortunately, while there's life there's football.

Looking forward to it, hope it is not like an England game, lot's of hype everyone is excited then the game is a total bore.
I am looking forward to catching up with some mates and see how we fare in league one.
We will be missing the spark form Ishy and also likely to miss Sonko, so a solid defensive display with a mooney header from a corner would be my script.
LINE UP PERHAPS;
INCE
WRACK DANN GERRARD BOERTIEN
HALL SONNER DOBSON FOX
MOONEY BUTLER
CARLOS OFF THE BENCH AT 0-0 IN THE SECOND HALF
DEENEY OR NICHOLLS OFF THE BENCH LAST 10 MINUTES IF STILL 0-0 (DD CAN SHOW US WHO HE FAVOURS MOST OF THE TWO)
Lacking a cutting edge unless Hall or Dobbo can spark into life, or will Butler be full of confidence (we can but hope!)
