Stafford Rangers 1 - 3 Walsall

Excellant second half performance tonight by the lads. We really knocked some nice stuff around and at times my concerns for the coming season where pushed t the back of my mind. Mooney and Butler worked well and Caniero showed some nice touches too. But the outstanding player for me was the lad who played left back - i don't know who he was but he impressed me greatly. Mario Pedro (?) came on at half time and looked lively and i think has shown enough to earn himself a 12 month contract. Fox too looked very good playing left midfield but in comparison with last year when he looked a little out of sorts he pushed on and looked techinically accomplished.

Sonner held for Dobson who roamed (he played in a similar way Lampard which worked) still i think we need someone more creative in that position but Dobbo did OK.

I said to my dad on the way back how i had enjoyed the 2nd half performance some of the football was delightful!

Overall a good outing and i am certainly less pessimistic than i was before i had seen the new look team play togther :D

Cheers Stefano, good report mate, I'm feeling a little more positive now. What were the goals like?

one penalty, other was a tap in after butler went clear, and the third was a left footed volley from a tightish angle which was the pick of the bunch
