Redditch United (A) B'ham Snr Cup Semi - Tuesday 20/03/07
Might go. Need to go on the piss after so Darlo's looking a bit far. Cup fever and all that. I'll go for a 2-1 Saddlers win, Denney with both goals. 450 Redditch fans, 1 Walsall (me) and a few moms and days. UTS.

You can't go far wrong with Newcastle if you want to go on the pee.

Scott Rickards with the goal for them
Ishmel??? You sure? This match kicks off the same time as our match at Darlington, so I highly doubt it.
he's never hardly involed in our matches anyway he hasn't started this season so he might as well start the redditch match

Yes - I and quite a few other supporters (of both teams) made the fruitless journey. It might have been nice public relations for both clubs to have announced about a pitch inspection and give a 'phone number to call but, there again, who cares about us? - we're only the mug supporters who don't matter. At the time of writing this post there is still no mention of the Redditch game being off, on the WFC site. Now is any-one surprised at that?
I checked both websites before setting out and had the car radio tuned to BBC Radio Dingle, just in case there was any news.

Maybe because all the Walsall Press staff went to the 1st team game today. Thought after all the rain most people would have had the good sense to ring Redditch up 1st before they left

exactly mate. I would have checked with Redditch first.
For anything to go on the official websight it would have been down to Mick Halsall who was looking after the team to contact Mr Poole to let him know.

It's 1 - 0 to the "Super Soaraway" Saddlers at half time in Redditch.
Despite playing up the slope, Walsall have a deserved half time lead, courtesy of Per Cederqvist's first competitive goal for the club. It came when a corner wasn't properly cleared and Manny Smith headed the resulting Darren Wrack cross back across the goal for Cederqvist to bundle home for a typical striker's goal.
More to follow from Leamore.
