Macclesfield Town (H) FA Cup 1st Round Replay 21/11/06

Sat Nov 18, 2006 7:54 pm

So - is this one going to go to pens like the Swansea match did?

Got my ticket and will be taking along some ProPlus just in case it goes on all night.

Hope DD sticks with today's midfield set-up. The Macclesfield away match we did not look too strong in the centre.

Would be nice to beat Macc, get through the next round, and land a big club at the Bezzla, but to be honest, I'd rather just keep concentrating on the league. We're not home and dry just yet!

I'd be surprised if Kinsella plays 2 games in 4 days.

To me, it's the ideal game to give Asbo a start.

This is a game our manager has already said does not matter, a chance for some of the rest of our squad to shine, albeit briefly, and a chance to bury the worst team in our division for good.

Us lots, them none.

4-0 to us I reckon. Butler to score 2, with Roper & Ishmel getting the others.

I really do think we will give these a good beating. After yesterdays performance, It was 10 times better than monday's poor show, I hope Kinny plays in the center again, We look alot more better in the middle with him there.

My Prediction:

Saddlers 5
Maccy 0

Butler hat trick, wright 2.

Around the 3k mark? Can't see maccy bringing no more than about 70 fans my self, They only brought about 120 here in the league!!

I think macclesfield will come to defend (all 11 men behind the ball) and just hope it goes to penalties...so if we play our normal game...nobody will cross the halfway line from either side...the ref will have to get the 2 managers together to change thier tactics...and then they will both change to a 10-1 formation with the goalie playing up front...so i say 4-3 on pens to us...

Just kidding...i think we will win comfortably...it must be soul destroying for any team (let alone the bottom one) to come here knowing we haven't lost or let a goal in all season...so i say 3-0..with ince getting a hat-trick...not really love to see Butler get a few..his energetic running off the ball has earned him a goal or 2... :D

Pressure's off a bit, the opposition are dire, it's got to be at least 3 or 4 nil, surely. I've got a £20 4-fold on with Hills, combining Walsall with Aldershot, Scunthorpe & Valencia (how many times have those teams been in the same sentence!) at combined odds of about 9-2. Give me the money now - it's a cert!
