Milton Keynes Dongs (H) League - Saturday 28/10/06

Sat Oct 21, 2006 7:30 pm

MKD in 6th place.

Swindon playing Lincoln on the same day...

A good chance to pull away from one or both of them.

I reckon 2-1 with an attendance of 6,200.

3-1 Walsall

I really do think we will give the dons a good match, Seeing them loose today 3-1 to hereford? I think we can carry on our winning ways, But we will probley will concede but i couldn;t care less as long as them 3 points are there!

Butler, Wrighty & Keatsy to score.

Rochdale were considered decent, and Lincoln put seven past them. This league is rubbish, as are 19 of the teams in it, and we should breeze past the dongs at home.

0-1 to them it is then!

It's perhaps worth pointing out that not only did MK Dongs lose 1-3 at home to Hereford yesterday, they also managed to have their Manager (Martin Allen) sent off !!! Does this mean that he will be suspended for the game against us?

One of Hereford's goals was a penalty, so can we assume that MKD will be something of a physical side?

Forecast 4-1 Saddlers.... Butler fit again (2), ASBO and Keates. We will concede a League goal for the first time this season to that celebrated diver Izale McLeod.

All I really want (in addition to any Saddlers win) is for Swindon and Lincoln to draw!!!

i would rather swindon won to be honest, Lincoln i by far the best team i have seen this season, i honestly think they will be in the top two at the end of the season

Play offs for swindon i think.

Don't care that much though, we are doing mighty fine on our own

Doubt if it will make a difference really - their players will still hear him from the stand!

I must have been half (or more) asleep when I wrote about Martin Allen - I assumed he was a Player/Manager in the small person mould

That's what happens when (a) You reach a certain age, and (b) When you insist on driving a taxi into the wee hours on a Saturday night.

Sorry............

Not specifically thinking of a scoreline, I just hope that Martin Butler and Michael Dobson will be back in the side as I think MB has the experience up front that will unsettle MKDons defence and Dobbo will help to keep Izale McLeod - their main danger man - under control.

I hope so. A good manager but he does my head in ranting and raving from the touchline.

Agree. I said at the time they were the best we'd played. They're scoring goals for fun and I think that may give them the edge over us by the end of the season. Swindon may fade, especially if Wise goes to Leeds.

Anyway, 2-0 to the Saddlers. Butler (must be due one now!) and Keates.

MK residents will embrace pretty much anything to make their tedious existence more bearable, so they'll come in their droves to spend some time away from the soulless concrete hole they inhabit. He's optimistic with the score though!

well we took near on that to Barnet, so for a top of the league game there is no reason why we can't bring that many.

how many does your away stand hold anyway.

why is a 1-1 draw optimistic? from reading this thread it is you lot that are optimistic as you are all expecting a 4-0/5-0 win.

as we ourselves have found out this is a tough league and you won't thrash every team you play

Given our home form and your indifferent away form it's a foregone conclusion. Football being a funny old game I half-expect to have to eat my words, but for you to expect anything other than an afternoon of pain at Fortress Bescot is optimistic, as the form guide is on our side. I'd wish you well, but I'm afraid I'm one of those who wouldn't mean it given the origin of your club.

Back down to earth with a bump... MK will come with a physical direct game, playing 100 mph, with nothing to lose.

Walsall 1-2 MK Dongs...

Think we're in for a decent crowd though, I think we'll break 7000.

1) Martin Butler doesn't take our penalties - Dean Keates does.

2) For this match, your fans will not be accommodated in the usual away end. You will be in half of the Family Stand, alongside the pitch. This is because of a special ticket promotion operated jointly with our local council.

3) Exile - MK Dons' away league form is actually slightly better than their home form! Not as good as our home form, though. Providing we can keep "Diver" McLeod vertical, then I fancy us to scrape a narrow win. They were one of the better teams to visit Bescot, last season, and we were lucky to draw.
