Grimsby Town (A) League - Saturday 9/9/06

Mon Sep 04, 2006 10:34 am

Form Guide.

HOME
Boston won 3-2
Mansfield drew 1-1
Macclesfield drew 1-1

AWAY
Wrexham lost 0-3
Bristol Rovers lost 0-1
Bury lost 0-3.

Hopefully a more attack minded team selection. if so i predict a comfortable 0-2 away win .

Looking at Grimsby's away record its a pity we are not playing at Bescot

I'll go for a Rochdale style win. 1-0 to us, with Butler to score.

Take a look on their Rivals site they are absolute rubbish at the minute, any kind of positive half-decent performance from us and this should be a nailed on 3 points, as should Macc at home. Take 7 points minimum from next 3 games and we are rolling along.

I think the players will have had a right bollocking after another poor first half performance at Barnet and I hope Dosh will get it right third time lucky and be slightly more adventurous from the start.

1-0 to us, Butler.

A dodgy 1 nil win to the saddlers based on performance at both Lincoln and Barnet Butler to score.

Hope so MMF , We have wide players with pace to cause teams in this league problems . Ishmel is a must to start for me .

Another tight opening from Walsall but with Grimsby not performing all that well at the moment I can see use getting a positive result but a nerve wracking 1-0 win with fox getting his first goal with a 30 yard punt i9n the last 5 minutes.

I think Taylor is a bit more creative than Keates , nothing against Deano
he's done ok this season chipped in with 3 goals also .

yeah, imo i think taylor is alot better at left back, solid through out. i prefer keates over taylor in the centre, but that's just my opinion

I really don't understand, based on the evidence of the season so far why people think we are going to lose to Grimsby??

Of course it could well happen, its a footy match and they are at home, but surely we've got to be red hot favourites.

We just need to perform in the first half away from home!

Kind of sounds familiar if you insert the words Merson and Walsall into the text.

If we turn up in both halves, we should surely win.

Grimsby's recent form it pretty poor.
