If 1,700 other Saddlers turn up someone call me and I'll drive from that wedding in Lincoln even if I only get to see the last 5 minutes!

Walsall to win 2-1 in the sun a la Rotherham with a decent following of around 750.

Butler and Wright to score.

Point of trivia, for the last 3 seasons Rochdale have lost their opening home game to a team that has gone on to reach the play-offs or gain automatic promotion.

Shades of Rotherham 2000, followed by a play off victory. That will do for me :)

A 1-0 opening day victory, i predict a solid defensive performance, with a Martin Butler goal to win it.

YGA!

Draw, 0-0 I think, as Rochdale's midfield stifles our creativity while their forwards fail to trouble our defence. This sets a pattern of away draws stretching into October before we pick up a win at Accrington Stanley.

2-1 Rochdale, it'll take us time to gel I expect and I still think folk are setting unrealistic expectations for this season.

Yes I too am very cautious about Saturday. I wouldn't be surprised with a dull 0-0 in the heat, with us picking essentially a none too creative midfield, and Rochdale being just not being very good.
Hoping that DD brings in his creative player in time and that Butler hits the ground running an we have too much for them on the day.
