Agreed.

Interviewer: "In which areas were you outplayed in today, Gordon."

GS: "Only one. That big, green, grassy one over there."

Brilliant! :D

I'm absolutely stoked - and Jeremy, if you're reading this and haven't got Sky, GET IT INSTALLED NOW!!!. The Macc / Saddlers game is being shown LIVE in New Zealand!! Brilliant. Goodbye Saddlersworld for the day, and sorry, I won't be in the chat room, because I'll be watching my super Saddlers on the telly!!!!!!!

Unbe-frigging-lievable!

With the pressure of the league off i think we'll relax and turn on the style 3 - 0 to
the supers.

I'm going with the 3 nil option too. I think once we get one goal we'll open them up more at the back.

First half we day look too good - but after a DD team talk I can see us ruling the second half.

Saw Leamore on the telly before the match - how many pounds did they say telly adds

Was Macclesfield the game with the Sam - Pead Substitution?

Can see Wrack coming on and packing a five man midfield

We sound very poor - based on text commentary admittedly. We need another striker desperately.

We have been pretty poor - I missed Spooks for this

Hard to pick a man of the match - Roper or Dann. Probably Roper - solid!

I would agree with Roper, hardly missed a thing all night.

Not exactly a good advert for our division tonight. Did either keeper actually have to make a save all night?

Twas Very Cack, glad I kept my money in my pocket tonight. Didn't seem like much of a Russ Abbots atmosphere either.

What an awful game. The awful commentry didn't help either - but glad I didn't go to that - well done and commiserations to those that made the effort - you have my sympathy. Nuff said.

Heard the last ten minutes on WM. Sounded even worse than text! We need freshening up in midfield and attack, but we have been saying that for weeks.

Tonight's dismal performance showed us exactly what we need:

Someone who can put their foot on the ball in midfield and thread a pass through to the attackers. Neither Keates or Dobson have this creativity.

A right back that doesn't put 50% of his clearances into touch and who can tackle

Another forward - even Martin Butler is now looking lethargic.

Very disappointed in the substitutions. It was crying out for a bit of quality from ASBODEMON.

Plus side, Roper and Dann immense.

Very poor performance.
Light weight in attack, please lets have someone to partner Butler.
Lets have Kinsella in the middle with Dobson for gods sake.
Wright and Bedeau shocking to say the least, can they control the ball or do anything with it?
Defence, solid as usual!

What a dire, dismal game. Can't imagine any neutral bothered watching that all the way through. Such a shame when we are so rarely on the tele. Highlight for me was spotting a friend in the crowd. Thought Pead deserved to be sent off.

He was ready to come on - then Pead tried to put a player in the stand instead of the ball!

That was with 10 minutes left. He should have been on at half time

Pathetic! In front of Merson, that was a truly Mersonesque display (well, except we didn't gift them any goals).

We need another midfielder! Now! Dobson was excellent tonight, but we need someone alongside him who can create. Butler was feeding on scraps and Sam just had the two snapshots which came out of nowhere. Wrack did all right when he came on, maybe we should try him in the middle with Dobson?

And for God's sake - where's Constable?

I agree - said the same to my wife, just after I had woken her up!

That was the worst football match I have ever seen. Macclesfield could have played for three years and not scored. They are a non-league club, and so they should be. Two players dominated the whole show...Dann and Roper. I didn't see Walsall have a single shot on target. It was absolutely dismal. Mid-field was able to destroy but not create. Our wing backs were slow, unskilfull and clueless.
Butler must be as bored as the rest of us. There was no ball control, no speed, little incisive passing, and precious few shots. What else is football about?
I think back to the skills of Kelly, McMorran, Baker, Hodgkisson, Buckley, ...And to think we're top of the league!!!
