I'm hoping that the players will have had a stern talking to, made to sit through the whole of last nights game, 2 or 3 times hopefully and the players will feel suitably embarassed to putting in a performance.
DD might even make changes to help rectify the problems!
I think it will be 0-0, 1-1 or hopefully we'll nick a 1-0 win but I can't see us scoring more than once at the moment.
I'll settle for a 1-1. A swooping pigeon to nod in a Roper hoof down the field.

all season!
From what I saw last night it wouldn't surprise me.
I'm getting slightly fed up with this "Let's avoid defeat before we try to win" mentality.
FFS, let's go out with the intention of winning games.
And that's coming from a massive DD fan. I hated it under Lee and I hate it under DD. At least Lee had half an excuse in that we were playing vastly superior teams. This season we're playing some of the worst dross I've ever watched.

Get used to it, Dave, that's how you win Leagues. Even Arsenal and Chelsea are based on a sound defence first.

Yes, sound defence FIRST, not at the expense of any attacking intent whatsoever.

Well, no. It takes time to build a side up that way and, yet, we are still top of the league.

I think you are missing a major point Neil I am quite happy for us to win the league playing boring games and winning 1-0.
All in all our play hasn't changed all season.
However, you fail to see that that in recent weeks, and summed up perfectly last night, WE DO NOT CREATE ENOUGH CHANCES TO NICK GAMES 1-0. Sorry but's a fact.
We were before, we're not now and unless it changes we won't win games or the league.
Go back to being defensive but creating enough chances to win games and I don't have a problem. Drawing 0-0 in most games won't get us promotion.
At the moment our only hope of scoring is from a set piece, we wouldn't have beaten Toquay otherwise. However the set pieces were poor last night, it must improve.

Totally agree MMF. We are a decent side (we are top of the league after all) but in recent weeks teams have found us out and we can only ride our luck for too long. Unless we make the additions required we wont get promotion drawing 0-0 every week. Butler looks half the player he was a few weeks ago, the whole midfield look to be struggling for form and ideas. And even worst 0-0 draws can easily turn into 1-0 defeats then pressure will be on us to perform. Build now while were in a strong position. Dickie ask Big Jeff some Doshy!! Lets go shopping in January...

Express and Dingle said he and Picken should be fit for next weekend. Can't see Picken being match fit, though, even so.
I'd almost forgotten about Picken , it will be a few months before he's anywhere near match fitness . i would think.
