To be honest part of me wants Barnsley to give us a right good d***ing. I don't want to walk away from the ground with any sort of "warm glow" from a cracking performance and an emphatic win because psychologically this would make a mockery of what has gone on this season.
And I certainly don't want to be looking at the league table next Saturday night with us having jumped a couple of places and only relegated by, say, one point because then your mind fills up with "what if's".
Okay okay I never REALLY want to see us lose - of course I don't - it's just the psycho-analyst in me coming out.

Spot on. I said as much on the day of our relegation.

Exactly. None of our own fans should want us to lose. Pablo Mills could be a big player for us next season - we should do what we can to help any possible deal.

Even though we are down i want to see them (the players) give it a go, even if it is purely academic. They must have some professional pride afterall??
Yes i agree, send us away with some hope for next season, the pressure is off now,we have nothing to lose!

If we can get that 4th from bottom place and Rotherham lose 10 points on Friday ???? Got to hope for a win I guess, even though it's a very long shot, especially with Hartlepool only having to play Port Vale at home and a win for them would leave us below 4th from bottom.

Grasping at straws? Well, maybe. On the other hand Geoff, if we treat it like the first day of our end of season holiday and get thumped, then find we could have stopped up with Rotherham being docked 10 points then we would be pig sick. IMO we should go all out for three points and then hope for good news from Millmoor. It is a long shot, but it's not beyond the realm of possibility and we would be stupid to completely rule out that hope (however slim) of stopping up.

Is there any way to secure the administration of Rotherham? If so, with balaclava on head, I'm due north 8)
I've been thinking exactly the same thing. There's nothing more dignifying to be the sinking 'baddie' and taking one of the 'goodies' with you as you fall to your doom
