That is a pretty embarassing stat - made even worse by the fact that he's never scored for us.

Sorry lads but this striking problem myth about vale doesnt really hold true. We've had no matthews or sam all season so nowt new there. Lowndes is useless but might be back in the squad, Husbands has looked ok but hasnt played much at all recently because we've gone with a central striker and two wingers/ forwards either side, like a very poor mans Chelsea. So we'll still have top scorer Constantine, world cup bound Birchall and Jeff Smith up front with young Briscoe on the bench, who is a good prospect. As we are due a league win at your place, and you appear to be in poor form id go for 0-2 vale. Knowing football though you will probably win 2-1.

Personally can't decide whether i want you to go down or not. Given our awful record id say yes, but i would rather see some of the longer trips go down instead of the hour trip to the bescot.

Same old for me. Leary can't play that position. Westwood? Hoping on Smith coming up with a bit of service

It's around what I'd have picked, other than Leary on the right, but the way the crowd have been on Wright's back, his confidence is shot. The other possibility would have been Fox for Smith and Ishy in. At the back, it depends what their forwards are like. If they don't have a "big man", fair enough. If Timm wants a game I'm sure he can find one down Pleck park.

I guess to be fair, it isn't so much about formations now, it's about players who want to stand up and be counted

Christ, can I really be bothered to do a 200 mile round trip to watch that? Leary on the wing? Roper dropped? ARE YOU MERSON IN DISGUISE?

And in that you get part of your answer why KB has such a difficult job.

99 percent on here don't want Wright to play, Most realise Leary isn't the answer there.

So what does he do ?

I agree with that to an extent, but he has several options:

(a) Play Wright on the right wing - he is a right winger, after all
(b) Play Pead on the right wing and Mills at right back
(c) Play Timm on the right wing
(d) Keep the formation from the other night so it's not an issue

Any of those would be preferable to playing Leary on the right wing, to me.

(A) He is supposed to be, but even those who defended him before, must see how poor he has been recentely.

(B) An option, but i think Mills is a Center back to be perfectly honest.

(C) Never thought of that, plus Timm wont be doing alot of Midfield work, could be an option off the bench.

(D) Didn't go mate cos i was at work so i couldn't comment

And anyway, as big a crime as it is to play Leary on the right wing, it's nothing compared with putting Westwood in instead of Roper.

Talk about waving the white flag.

play Timm on the right wing
interesting thats a decent idea Bristol
Wrights confidence must be low with the growd on his back
Leary is just a wate of space
Pead i dont fancy on the wing anyway we need Mills at centre back as
Gerrard and Roper have both lost the plot
as for Taylor why he has brought him back is beyond me

Apart from one half decent game away from home, I do wish someone would tell me what Mads Timm has actaully contributed in real terms since he's been here. He's just not the player for a scrap.

im affraid that what most mangers try to do in our sitsuation
keep it tight at the back and nick a goal then hang on
only problem is we can't do either

I wouldn't play Timm, not from the start.

Dont forget, i have been told this lineup so im pretty sure thats what it will be, best thing is though, i actually edited it a bit, because originally it was written that osborn would be on the right wing, but surely even KB couldnt stoop to that length!

It sounds about what i expected really, i thought he may persist with Wright and play him either full back or on the wing, other than that it's no suprise

Well the team is exactly that, so again lacking pace and width really. I would have liked Smith tucked in with Ishy on the wing and Daryl Taylor on the right, and a clear instruction to set the tempo and give it the bloody kitchen sink. If we lose this KB will get slaughtered, looks like a team set out to nick a win, cue 4-0!!

Smith in for Roper.
WM commentator says for the 51st time in 51 games we've got a different starting line up. Says it all really if true.
