Southend x - 2 Walsall...

I don't know whether that 'x' will be a 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or even 16, but I know Walsall will score twice.

Why? Here is our goals scored sequence in the last 11 matches;

0-0-2-0-0-2-0-0-2-0-0-x, therefore to keep the sequence true we'll score twice on Saturday, then fail to score in the next 2 matches.

Hmmm, like the theory of that Stu. It would have been nice to have a new man appointed by now, the longer the week goes on without an appointment the less likely we'll be to get anything out off the game. On the face of it the Colchester result was good, but that was acheived playing against a team 'walking on eggshells' with their collective minds on other things. We reverted to type on Saturday and I fear the worst, but hope I'm wrong.

See, I've been giving these negative predictions for weeks and I have been merely discarded as a pessimist. Now the fog has cleared and I am right 8)

With the lack of leadership at the club at the moment the players must be as disheartened as we are. A 2-0 loss Im afraid.

2-0 Southend.

I just can't see anyone stopping the rot away from home.

12 games to stave off relegation...roll on Bournemouth.

Southend 32-0 Walsall

Southend will Decide to just play Freddy Eastwood on his own so thats why the score is going to be so low. He will get sent off in the second half for a dangerous two footed tackle on Andy Oakes. Walsall then manage to get 40% possession but couldn't get a goal, full time. Eastwood got 15 goals, Roper got 5, Pead got 10 and The ref got 2. 32 nil to Southend.

new manager syndrome (sp) let hope it aint the same aswhen john barnwell took over and we got stuffed 7-0 by chelsea! but i have a sneaky feeling that we might just pull of a suprise down there! so a good batteling 2-1 win for us with teh goal coming in the 94 minite and the ref blowing for ful time as soon as southend re-start the game

I'm afraid I can see a stuffing of Brentford-esque proportions...4 - 0 to the southern softies :(

If we can sneak a 0 - 0, that'll be a major achievement...

Eastwood is out according to one of their fans. Still have Goater in and Gray who I was impressed with at our place.

I'm hoping the arrival of KB can have the same effect Colin Lee did when we played Charlton and we do the unexpected.

1-0 to us.

It's funny how our legendary managers always seem to have to overcome a baptism of fire.

Nicholl versus West Ham, won2-1, Graydon away at big spending Gillingham (as was) 1-0 win, Lee at Charlton 2-1 win.

Meanwhile in the numbty corner.

Hibbitt, 2-2 versus Torqauy, own goal after 10 seconds.
Sorensen gung-ho 1-3 at Chesterfield.
And the king of the numbties... 0-5 at Norwich.
The first game often seems to set the tone for what comes later.

Preview on the front page. Eastwood is suspended for five yellows and Gray is injured, but guess who his replacement is likely to be?
