Colchester Utd (H) 14th January 2006 - League

What do you reckon? 2-1 to walsall imo. Should be easy! I'll be there behind the goal (f2g lower)

Don't forget folks, this match is 2 for £10.

Just buy 2 pints of Banks's from a participating outlet to receive a voucher enabling you to purchase 2 tickets for £10 in the Healthland Stand.

For further details and a list of outlets go to http://www.saddlers.co.uk.

1 defeat in 14 matches for Colchester...

I predict a 2-1 win though.

Yes Neil a snidey jibe there.

I used to have a season ticket until 2 seasons ago when I was obliged to work weekends.

A season ticket would not benefit me, as I have to work a certain amount of weekends per year.

I use annual leave to attend matches, but still would not get enough games in to have benifited from purchasing a season ticket.

I may not always agree with you, but I do not resort to cheap shots Neil.

Colchester are really flying at the moment but after the renewed optimism from yesterday I think we can sneak a narrow win.

1-0 or 2-1.

Colchester are flying, but so are Walsall at home - one team or the other is in for a rather hard landing. I'll pick them! 2-0 us. Clean sheet with Murphy between the sticks and a buoyant Walsall side hoofing it up for a forward line that doesn't consist of one midget.

Kinsella hat -trick then in his celebration he throws himself into the crowd, fortunatly he forgets he is a saddler and lands in the Colchester section. Since he is such a legend they keep him and take him back to Colchester......a perfect result all the way round

bugger.

still - there's more than one if Constable plays - maybe they can stand on each others' shoulders.

Tiny Timm?

Is he on crutches, and why won't Mr Scrooge give his father, Bob Cratchett Christmas Day off? :)

as a result of work and us hardly setting the world alight i seen colchester play about 4 times in the past 3 months so i know a little about how they play......if our atrocious performance against tranmere was typical of how weve played at home then we will struggle.....colchester are an ordinary (on paper) unit with a good manager who has got them playing quick confident football, each player looking comfortable on the ball.....they are string where we are strong, their attack is good, Iwelumo is a pacy strong striker but nothing gerrard/roper shouldnt be able to handle....Iwelumo and cureton have worked very well together and its cross fingers that cureton doesnt re-sign for colchester before saturday!!!! (ive given up on my one man cureton for walsall campaign!!!).....the heartbeat of the side is danns in the midfield, very creative, stop him and you stop colchester.....havent seen any of our new boys yet but im hoping leary will snuff out his danger.....back 4 very ordinary, nothing special, weak link is stockley at right back, bit of a cult figure for some reason but clearly their worst player and if we can get at him down our left hand side we should be able to get behind their back 4 on a regular basis.....conclusion???....a 1-1 draw.......

Has Cureton's lone deal finished there now?, I know they've signed Thorpe from Swindon. Goal on debut?

1-2 defeat, or a fairly comfortable 2-0 win for me.

Colchester are either going to still be buoyant from last weekend, or they will hung over and we may be able to catch them out.
I'm not at all confident though, they look to be a decent side.

Impossible to preview I think. To beat these boys, we're going to have to play very well - much better than we have been playing. Whether we can rise to the challenge with all these new players is another question.

God only knows how we'll get on.
