I think it might be tough. I know Tranmere are struggling but we never seem to do well against them for some reason. Should win though.

2-1 Fryatt and Constable.

At least Tranmere had a long night last night before losing 11-10 to Carlisle on penalties. I just hope that as we will have a better crowd than for some time that we produce a performance to hang onto some of them . I'll go for a 4-0 win.

it looks they're not doing too bad in away-games but we'll win 2-0. Matty again and Jorge.

I think we will give you a good game. Got a feeling its not going to be easy for you lot we are no push overs, we just fudge don't score enough goals this season but if we have Steve Wilson in goal, I know we are at a disadvantage.

Looking at things in perspective

Tranmere are on a bad run. We are 7 games undefeated at home. There will be a decent crowd.

This should be the game that we havent had since we stuffed the Bag Ladies 4-1 on the opening day of the other season and we should take Tranmere apart

Back to the real world. The bubble will burst. Walsall 2 Tranmere 3

Sounds like for once Fryatt just failed to nick the obligatory winner to make things look better than they really are.

Six out of next 8 games away should sort out the wheat from the chaff and see if we really are progressing.

"That was a poor game"-- walking back from the game I heard that time and time again. The worrying thing is that many of them would have been our floating fans who because of todays dire game will not come again for a very long time.

Not sure if it was just a "bad day at the office" or are we in the main just clueless? I fear the second option is nearer the truth. Then again they were big and stong and did intimidate our lads-I just dont know.

Lads I'm just not enjoying my football

D Taylor was poor yet again, thank god Ismel will be back on Wednesday. Taylor needs a long spell in the reserves to try and get his confidence back

I have just heard Merson's after match comments - seems to suggest that the "pressure of the play offs" got to the players and made them nervous. Christ.

so what happen when Jorge goes , Fryatt maybe off to a team in Prem who wear blue. Will we get nervous about the Relegation battle

There was far to many average players on the park today, all we need was someone to get hold of the game in midfield for us , which no one did

Did anyone else hear the caller on WM straight after the game?

He said that it was good that we were progressing & that it was good to see an entertaining game !!!

I didn't realise that you could sit in the bar during the game.
He certainly wasn't in the stadium thats for sure.

Defence did well.
Midfield poor, but were out numbered.
Fryatt carried the front line on his own.

Why oh why do we constantly hit long balls to miss out the midfield ?

Disappointed !!

How can we have fryatt on his own, but be outnumbered in midfield?

Arent they pretty much mutually exclusive?

I personally thought that was utter tripe. First time I've been to a game since Sept as i've been at uni and once again it hasn't encouraged me to come back.

Some thoughts;

Gerrard stood out obviously.

Bennett and Pead give the ball away far too often with wayward punts down the flanks. Pead was more guilty here in my opinion as at least Bennett made some decent challenges to win the ball back.

Fryatt is a class above our team and it will do him good to leave.

Standing offered very little today i believe.

Jorge did fairly well.

Mixed games for Roper and Ossie but he still showed his class at times.

We're obviously struggling for lack of muscle in midfield but for how long have we known that?

K.Taylor was average, D.Taylor poor.

Joe Murphy made a good save from Rankin considering he was unsighted til very late.

We need more muscle and more drive from midfield. Not enough running from deep to open things up for our strikers. Very unimaginative for most of the game.

The answer being you are utter sh!te, so are we, and so is eveyone else in this turd of a division. That's why today of the top 6 Hudds scraped a draw with Rovrum, Swansea "worldbeaters" city lost to Brentford, Chesterfield donkey (but probably make the play-offs 80's 11) drew with Scunny, and Sarfend, just up from division 4 via the play-offs United juiced a home 0-0 with Franchise.

It's utter utter utter utter utter uter shYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYte.
I've been watching football at all levels for 30 odd years, and this third division should be done under the trades description act.

That said I'll be at Bradford and Barnsley freezing me taters off for more garbage. As I dare say you will BTH, that's why the jokes that are these football clubs get to charge what they do.
