I know it's hard to tell from the BBC text commentary but after an initial burst we do not seem to be posing much of a threat. Not feeling very confident right now

Haven't you got Saddlers World Bath?

Just spoke to METFAN he says we don't look like scoring.

Has anybody got a link to the chat room or the Saddlers World webcast of tonight's match? It would be much appreciated 8)

Afraid not, MMF. I tried it on trial for a while, but frankly found it pretty shoddy! Particularly as we all used to be able to listen to it for free!

Sounds like the text commentary was accurate then. Unfortunately.

Note to Merson and the players:

Match kicked off at 7.45pm, not 9.20pm. Clock starts on 0 minutes, not 80 minutes.

I was just about to say Stu. All the symptoms are there of a typical away performance. Start to attack when we're 2-0 down.

There's the first of the two away defeats I expected unfortunately and it just shows that it doesn't matter what happens in home games or who we beat at home we're still not good enough to win away.

Kearns is saying we're unlucky. We can't be unlucky in every away game.

Let's look on the bright side. It won't take long to pen the hard-luck story, and there's not much chance of us getting lost on the way back to square one.

How long will it take before we do something about conceeding 2 goals to inferior oppositon every time we play away?

And to me it shows that the recent home form is really not as good as it seems on paper.

Yes, we've won 5 out of 7. 4 at home and 1 at Merthyr, and I think we all admit that if we'd played some half decent opposition we'd have struggled to win the 4 matches playing as we did. I've not been overly impressed with the recent home form one bit to be honest.

And as MMF says, the first of the two successive away defeats I expect... Now takes us to W2 D2 L6, a huge 8 points out of 30.

Great. The first caller to WM says don't get on Merson's back, he's sure he'll keep us in this division. There's ambition for you.

EDIT - Not forgetting "he's a great bloke"

Very disappointing. And not good enough. Take the cup wins out of the equation and are we really any further forward?
