For me the really worrying thing about this game isn't the result (I don't think we'll get one BTW, but I'll be happy to be wrong) it's the thought of Timms playing out of his skin, and Swansea getting on the blower to Man U and waving a sizable cheque under their noses to secure his services. Man U have just annonuced a reasonably large debt, and under their current owners I guess they'd be more than happy to begin reducing that by releasing a player whose future at Old Trafford looks to have a limited shelf life.

Then I refer you to the Friday 5 live interview with the Chair of the independent Reds and the REAL debt that the Glazers have created. So I suppose it's how you wish to view it really Neil, one mans 'disappointing result on the road' is another mans decent result isn't it.

and from the website...
Not doing exactly what it said on the tin.
The Beeb claim that United made a profit of £46m for the year ending June 2005 - a drop of £12.3m from the previous 12 months.
IF THIS IS CORRECT IT IS STILL LESS THAN THE DEBT THAT NEEDS TO BE SERVICED EACH YEAR.
Gill told BBC Five Live: "It's been a very profitable year for the club but, despite the drop, Malcolm Glazer is comfortable with the results."
United paid £2.2m to agents, including £1.5m to Rooney's agent.
The club will officially announce the drop in profit on Monday.
Gill continues his hyperbole:
"The forecast for 2006 is very good but I am not going to predict profits will be over £50m.
"But going forward, the new stadium expansion means there will be nearly 8,000 extra seats from the start of next season and the end of 2007 is looking very positive."
Despite almost 8 months into his reign, there is still no explanation of how the debts are going to be repaid.
.....so please don't accuse me of exaggeration, ta very much.

Could be a surprise, but I doubt it. Defence may withstand inspection, but going forward we're looking less assured. Still, diddy Dave has been after a chance to shine for a while now - could the answer to our striker problem be right under our noses?
I am sure the lads will give a good account of themselves. I predict a 3-1 defeat, after a 1-1 half-time score and our withstanding a goalmouth onslaught from the Jacks for the majority of the second half.
